General information only

This guide is information, not legal or immigration advice. Rules change, so confirm on the official government site before you travel.

Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia all ask you to submit the digital arrival card within 3 days before you land. Type your arrival date and this tool shows the window, so you do not submit too early or leave it too late.

Check your window

This tool counts the day you arrive as one of the 3 days, which is the wording used by Singapore's ICA and Malaysia's immigration guidance. It uses your device's local date. Dates follow the arrival date in the destination country, so if your flight lands after midnight, use the landing date.

How the 3-day count works

For these four systems the arrival day is one of the 3 days. So the window is arrival date minus 2 days, up to the arrival date. Arrive on the 30th and the first allowed day is the 28th.

  • Short flights: you have the full window.
  • Early morning arrivals: do it the evening before, not at the gate.
  • Flight date changed: recheck the window and update or resubmit.

Japan's Visit Japan Web has no 3-day window, so it is not in this tool. See our Japan guide.

Why Thailand shows a "safe" window

The official Thai wording is "within 3 days before arrival, including the arrival date". Travel guides give examples that do not all agree on the first day, so we show the date that every example accepts. The official form is the final judge of whether a date is accepted.

Questions and answers

How early can I submit the TDAC, MDAC or SG Arrival Card?

Within 3 days before arrival, counting the arrival day. The first safe day is two days before you land.

Does the arrival day count as one of the 3 days?

Yes for Singapore and Malaysia, based on ICA's example and a Malaysia visa-guide example. We use the same safe count for Thailand and Indonesia.

What if I submit too early?

The official form may refuse the date, or guides say you must submit again inside the window. Do it again, it is free.

Is this tool official?

No. It is an independent helper. Always confirm on the official government site before you travel.
