Flight delay compensation calculator: check if you can claim

Answer six quick questions and see an estimate of what you may be owed. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere.

How it works

The calculator applies the standard EU and UK rules: 250, 400 or 600 euros (220, 350 or 520 pounds in the UK) depending on distance, with exceptions for notice period, replacement flights and extraordinary circumstances.

This is an estimate, not legal advice. The airline decides first, and a regulator or court can disagree. Claims are normally made in writing.

After the result

  1. Collect your booking, boarding pass and receipts.
  2. Write to the airline. Use our complaint letter generator.
  3. If there is no good answer, go to the regulator listed in the Help Center.

Questions and answers

Does this work for flights from Pakistan to Europe?

Only if the flight is operated by an EU airline. The flight home from Europe is covered on any airline.

How late must my flight be?

Compensation for delays generally starts at 3 hours late at your final destination.

Do I still get a hotel and meals if I get no compensation?

Usually yes. Care rights such as meals and a hotel apply to delays and cancellations even when no compensation is due.

Is the amount per person?

Yes. It is per passenger, not per booking.
