This guide is information, not legal or immigration advice. Rules change, so confirm on the official government site before you travel.
You filed the Philippines eTravel form and then spotted a wrong passport digit, or your flight changed. Do not pay anyone. The official site has an Edit Registration tab, and this page explains what it does and where the limits are.
Short answer
The official eTravel FAQ says that if you registered within the 72-hour window, you can retrieve your personal QR code and view some of your details using the Edit Registration tab on the eTravel website.
Several travel sources add that you can edit your details as long as border health staff have not yet verified or processed your registration. That “until verified” limit is reported by those sources, so read what the portal itself allows before you rely on it.
How to edit or retrieve
- Open etravel.gov.ph by typing it in your browser.
- Choose Edit Registration on the home page.
- Enter the reference details the portal asks for. One guide says the retrieval page asks for your reference number and date of birth.
- Fix the field you need, check the whole form, then submit.
- Download or screenshot the QR code again and use the latest one.
What is worth fixing first
- Passport number or name: it must match the passport you carry.
- Flight number and arrival date: update it if the booking changes, but the 72-hour rule applies to the new date.
- Address in the Philippines: use the real first address.
- Email: a wrong email means you may not receive the confirmation.
Lost your QR code
You do not need to start again. Sources say you can retrieve it through the Edit Registration tab, or through a search page that uses your reference number. If you filed under another reference, search with that one. Save a fresh offline copy once you get it.
What if you notice the mistake at the airport
The official FAQ does not describe a fix at the counter. If editing is no longer possible, speak to the airline or the officer politely and show your passport and booking. Do not pay a stranger offering to change it.
Questions and answers
Can I edit my eTravel after submitting?
The official FAQ points to the Edit Registration tab for retrieving your QR code and viewing details. Travel sources say you can edit until border staff verify the registration.
Does editing eTravel cost money?
No. The government says eTravel takes no online payment. A site that charges to edit it is not the official portal.
I lost my eTravel QR code. What now?
Use the Edit Registration tab or the portal’s search page with your reference details to retrieve it, then save an offline copy.
